GIS QA Analyst

We are excited to expand our Quality team with a GIS Quality Analyst who will work collaboratively across global Delivery Management and Production teams to ensure the accuracy and reliability of complex spatial data. Using internal tools along with ArcGIS, QGIS, and Python-based scripting, this role ensures final deliverables meet customer expectations through structured, consistent quality review processes.

We are looking for someone with strong communication skills and a desire to learn that brings a collaborative mindset.

This position is located in our Middleton, WI office.

Job Duties

·       Review spatial data and document quality findings to support communication with internal and 3rd party teams.

·       Identify sources of quality issues and recommend systematic, scalable improvements to workflows.

·       Ensure standardized procedures and quality checkpoints are consistently followed throughout production.

·       Understand and apply data extraction guidelines to evaluate outputs accurately.

·       Independently troubleshoot project-related problems and escalate issues when needed.

·       Communicate changes or workflow impacts clearly to stakeholders.

·       Prepare and maintain documentation required for quality assurance protocols.

·       Perform spatial analyses supporting internal processes and project-specific needs.

·       Collaborate with Delivery Managers and GIS teams to support advanced spatial quality checks.

·       Complete additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

·       Basic understanding of geospatial concepts and tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS is required.

·       Experience with linear referencing systems and basic scripting knowledge is preferred.

·       Prior experience with quality assurance processes is beneficial.

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Office in a Windows environment.

·       Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

·       Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

·       Bachelor’s degree in a Geoscience-related field is preferred.
