Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts (PPLM) is the state’s leading provider of sexual and reproductive health care, nationally recognized for education and research. Our mission: ensure everyone in Massachusetts has access to compassionate, judgment-free care and education. We operate four health centers and offer telehealth statewide as part of a network of 600 Planned Parenthood affiliates nationwide.
As a key member of our Development team, the Gift Processor will be the behind-the-scenes hero ensuring that every donation—whether it’s a tribute gift, a recurring contribution, or a one-time show of support—is processed with care, accuracy, and gratitude. You’ll help maintain the integrity of our donor records, support audit processes, and ensure that every act of generosity is acknowledged in a timely and meaningful way.
This is a hybrid position located in Boston, MA with an in-office requirement of Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Your Day to Day:
Accurately enter and process over 100,000 annual donations using Raiser’s Edge.
Handle a variety of gift types including checks, credit cards, online gifts, payroll deductions, and more.
Collaborate with Finance and Development teams to ensure accurate gift allocation and reporting.
Generate and send acknowledgment letters and tribute cards.
Maintain donor records and documentation for audits and internal reporting.
Serve as the first point of contact for donor inquiries.
Stay current on best practices in gift processing and charitable receipting.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
1–2 years of experience in gift processing, data entry, or nonprofit administration.
Familiarity with donor databases (Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Willingness to work occasional evenings.
