About us and the project

Our Public Transport (ÖPNV) department provides innovative, full-service solutions for the public transport sector, supporting partners in their journey towards digitalization. With expertise in Digital Infrastructure, Digital Transport Operation, and Digital Passenger Experience, we enable public transport providers to deliver safe, efficient, and passenger-focused mobility solutions.

By combining technological innovation with comprehensive consulting and project management expertise, we provide end-to-end solutions that modernize public transport systems, enhance operational performance, and improve passenger experience.

OBU (Bordrechner) is an integrated Software and Hardware (on-board-unit) solution for public transport vehicles (bus and tram). From showing the planned route to the driver to displaying the real time status to customers, the solution is used in hundreds of vehicles across Germany and is used by thousands. Heavily relying on the T-Systems own TETRA and ITCS solutions, we are developing everything in close contact with the customer to fit user needs.
