Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi) is looking for a talented and motivated Software Test Engineer to join our team! The test engineer will support the Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) division of the Distributed Common Ground System - Army (DCGS-A), Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE) and other Army systems.
Army Geospatial Center (AGC), Program Manager, Intelligence Systems & Analysis (PM IS&A), PM Mission Command (MC), and Army Software Engineering Center (SEC) are responsible for the development, deployment, and sustainment of the Distributed Common Ground System - Army (DCGS-A) System of Systems. DCGS-A is the Army’s primary system for processing, exploitation, dissemination of multi-discipline and multi-sensor intelligence mapping, and weather information to weapon systems platforms and Warfighters. You will support AGC, PM IS&A, PM Mission Command, and SEC with engineering, integration, testing, documenting the technology required to enable a near real-time geospatially accurate Common Operating Picture (COP)
As a GEOINT Software Test Engineer, you will work with the team to provide recommendations regarding DCGS-A and Mission Command (MC) systems related to requirements for upgrading test suites and procedures. Upgrades will address current and emerging requirements for testing and optimize integration testing, interoperability testing and unit testing for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) applications, systems, services, and architectures.

As a GEOINT Software Test Engineer, you will..
Perform software verification and validation, including test planning, development, execution, analysis, and associated documentation
Define and develop test procedures and participate in test driven development activities
Analyze and verify best test solutions and manual test approaches and execute acceptance, integration, installation and system testing
Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental tests for new and/or modified system components
Documents and analyzes test results, and makes recommendations to improve overall quality
Oversee testing of purchased third-party software and/or services to ensure that company standards and end-user requirements are met
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Unit Testing (UT), and Integration Testing (IT), Regression Testing (RT), Detailed Testing (DT), Operational Testing (OT), and Acceptance testing (AT)
Perform test activities in a program consisting of waterfall and agile methodologies
Document and manage defect identification through resolution and closure
Ensure that hardware/software under test implements the functionality specified in all approved requirement documents and that it performs as expected from the customers perspective
Hands-on testing, test observation, and developing test automation code/scripts
Writing of after-test reports for the customer
GEOINT Software Test Engineer qualification:
U.S. citizenship
Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain one). Prefer TS or TS/SCI. We will sponsor clearances.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 6+ years of overall experience
Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g. Atlassian Jira and Confluence
3+ yrs. of related experience in one or more of the following areas:
Experience with developing test scripts and utilizing testing tools
Experience writing code to test scripts
Experience with developing and executing test program and/or test strategies
Experience with web applications and associated web testing harnesses
Experience with test methodologies, writing test plans, writing test scripts, creating test cases and debugging
Experience with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration and testing, test planning, development and execution testing
Ability to conduct root cause analyses and process improvements to drive defect prevention
Ability to isolate and resolve problems, document bugs, regress and close issues while working on application releases
Able to multi-task, self-assign work, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Good verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills )
Additional Skills we'd like to see...
Experience with test driven development
Familiar with test automation tools (Selenium, NeoLoad, Postman, Gherkin/Cucumber, Jenkins)
Familiar with scripting languages (BASH, Perl, Python, Ruby, PowerShell)Ability to navigate codebase, identify weak spots and constantly design better and creative ways to break software and identify potential problems
Experience with GitHub
Experience testing APIs
Web Client end user devices, Smart Clients and Android applications
Knowledge of Esri software a plus
