Responsibilities:

You will work as part of a team in one or more of the following research areas: predictive analytics using varied types of genomic data and complex trait phenotypic data, machine learning methods, large language model, predictive pipeline development and deployment.

You will assist the Genomic Prediction analytics team with tasks associated with developing and validating algorithm and python code and deploy pipeline in Snowflake Cloud. You will also manage your own research project in the area of data quality check and tool validation with the expectation of a verbal report to a larger audience at the conclusion of your internship.

Intern positions provide excellent experience that can be applied to full time positions in the industry, or in preparation for additional graduate level training.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Priority will be given to students that are at least current sophomores at an accredited university. Interns can be undergraduate or graduate students.
  • Education focus in Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
  • Agricultural or biological background beneficial
  • Interns with proficient python programming beneficial
  • Preference will be given to student with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Interns which can be on site at Research Triangle Park, NC at least 3 days per week beneficial
