Job Title: GM & VP, Engineering
Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, deeply technical General Manager and Vice President of Engineering to lead and continue building our world-class Global Innovation Center (GIC). This leader will set a high technical bar across architecture, platform engineering, and delivery execution, ensuring Cyara delivers reliable, scalable, high-quality solutions with speed and confidence to the world’s most iconic and trusted global enterprises.
The ideal candidate is a senior technologist with exceptional judgment, able to engage directly in complex technical decisions while also operating as a strong site and organizational leader. They bring a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing global engineering teams and centers of excellence, while shaping culture, strengthening leadership maturity, and driving clarity and accountability across distributed environments. This individual must be an effective communicator and trusted partner to cross-functional leaders providing direction, alignment, and confidence across teams and stakeholders. This leader operates with urgency, makes fast, high-quality decisions with imperfect information, and drives disciplined, measurable execution across the organization.

Technical Leadership & Engineering Excellence
Set and uphold a high technical bar across architecture, platform engineering, and product delivery.
Engage directly in complex technical decisions, providing authoritative guidance and quick issue resolution.
Build and mature Cyara’s Global Innovation Center into a world-class engineering hub with strong technical capability and leadership depth.
Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent, strengthen engineering discipline, ownership, and performance.
Establish and enforce high standards in design, coding, testing, automation, observability, and deployment.
Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to accelerate innovation and platform evolution.
Ensure engineering teams deliver high-quality products on time, within budget, and aligned to customer and business needs.
Technology Strategy & Product Alignment
Develop and execute a technology strategy aligned with Cyara’s long-term product and business objectives.
Collaborate closely with Product Management to define roadmaps, shape requirements, and ensure technical decisions support scale and performance.
Drive clarity and alignment on priorities, timelines, technical trade-offs, and dependencies across teams.
Partner with global engineering, Technical Operations, and AI/ML teams to ensure seamless end-to-end platform execution.
General Management & Site Leadership
Serve as the senior site leader for India, responsible for culture, communication, engagement, and overall site performance.
Provide clear direction and alignment across engineering and cross-functional teams, ensuring a cohesive, high-trust environment.
In partnership with HR, oversee site-level initiatives including talent development, onboarding, employee programs, and community engagement.

Manage site operations, budgets, and resource allocation to support growth and operational efficiency.
Cross-Functional & Executive Leadership

Represent the engineering organization in executive forums, customer discussions, and business reviews.

Continuously improve tools, processes, and workflows to strengthen productivity, reduce inefficiencies, and support high-velocity development.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
20+ years of experience leading large scale engineering organizations with deep technical expertise in architecture, distributed systems, cloud platforms, and high availability SaaS environments.
Proven success building and elevating high performing global engineering teams and centers of excellence, including strengthening leadership capability, engineering rigor, and organizational maturity.
Demonstrated experience leading significant engineering transformation efforts such as improvements in velocity, quality, operating discipline, technical standards, and cross team alignment.
Ability to step into complex technical decisions and provide clear authoritative guidance that influences senior engineers and leaders.
Strong communication skills and leadership presence with an ability to provide clarity, alignment, and confidence across technical and non-technical audiences.
A track record of making fast high-quality decisions with imperfect information and driving disciplined measurable execution.
Experience partnering effectively with product, operations, AI, and global engineering teams within complex multi-region environments.
Strong capability in developing talent, coaching leaders, and building a culture of accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement.
Prior experience in a private equity-backed or high-growing technology company is preferred.
