General Manager (Automated Distribution Center exp req) Description

Our client in the agritech space is looking for a General Manager to lead their North American team in the Greater Des Moines, IA area. You will run day-to-day operations while keeping one eye on the numbers and the other on execution of service delivery, sales performance, accountability, and a steady operating rhythm for a ~30–40 person team. This role sits at the intersection of people leadership and business leadership; aligning priorities across sales/service/operations, and being the point person for ownership in Europe. 

To succeed, you’ll need the judgment to know when to collaborate, when to escalate, and when to say “no” with facts and calm confidence. Ideal candidates bring broad, hands-on leadership across operations and commercial execution, are comfortable negotiating high-value deals, and can improve cross-border communication without creating friction. General Manager (Manufacturing exp req) Responsibilities

•    Oversee all daily operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and high service standards
•    Lead, mentor, and motivate managers and staff across sales, service, and operations
•    Improve communication cadence and alignment with European HQ stakeholders
•    Own budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for the region
•    Drive revenue growth through key account relationships and deal support
•    Strengthen processes, accountability, and policy adherence across teams
•    Track market trends and competitor activity to guide regional strategy
•    Travel to customers, job sites, and global partners as business needs arise

General Manager (Manufacturing exp req) Qualification

•    7+ years of senior leadership or general management experience required
•    Proven experience overseeing operations, sales, and financial performance required
•    5+ years of Agriculture or Manufacturing industry experience required 
•    Project planning, budgeting, P&L management, and scheduling experience required 
•    Experience working with European-owned / international HQs required
