Your Responsibilities

In the role of General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. You will manage general ledger accounting activities, support month-end closures and the preparation of financial statements, and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes.   • Manage daily general ledger accounting activities

  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes

  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals

  • Maintain and monitor fixed assets and depreciation schedules

  • Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP

  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing relevant documentation and analysis

  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other internal departments

  • Drive process optimization and support automation initiatives


Your profile

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (e.g. vocational training as accountant, tax clerk, etc.)

  • 1–2 years of professional experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role preferred

  • Solid understanding of IFRS; knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) is an advantage

  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365 or comparable)

  • Proficient Excel skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • High level of accuracy, reliability, and integrity

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); German is a strong asset

  • Experience in an international environment and/or within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry is an advantage

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines

  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of responsibility

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
