Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking laborer to join our team for 2 phases of construction as we prepare our new warehouse location in Calgary. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks that support the operations on our project management crew.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, the ability to work well in a team environment, and a commitment to safety and quality. This is an ideal position for students and professional alike.

Phase 1 will start on 9 Mar 2026 for up to 4 weeks
Phase 2 will start on 6 Apr 2026 for up to 4 weeks
Monday to Saturday 08h00 - 17h00. Some overtime may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cleanup of job sites.
Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Perform physical labor tasks including, shoveling, lifting heavy lumber, climbing ladders.
Ability to learn quickly and follow directions.
Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
Working at heights in a lift.

Qualifications

Must be eligible to work in Canada.
A valid non GDL class 5 driver’s license.
Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required.
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 80 pounds unassisted) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is a plus.
Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions accurately.
Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Overtime as needed

PPE

Please have CSA approved Yellow Rectangle (Sole puncture & Electrical Shock Resistance rated) footwear. Clothing for some outdoor work (10%).
