Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking laborer to join our team for 2 phases of construction as we prepare our new warehouse location in Calgary. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks that support the operations on our project management crew. 

 
The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, the ability to work well in a team environment, and a commitment to safety and quality. This is an ideal position for students and professional alike.


  • Phase 1 will start on 9 Mar 2026 for up to 4 weeks
  • Phase 2 will start on 6 Apr 2026 for up to 4 weeks
  • Monday to Saturday 08h00 - 17h00. Some overtime may be required.  

 
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cleanup of job sites.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Perform physical labor tasks including, shoveling, lifting heavy lumber, climbing ladders.
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow directions.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Working at heights in a lift.


Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • A valid non GDL class 5 driver’s license.
  • Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 80 pounds unassisted) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions accurately.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

 
Schedule

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Saturday
  • Overtime as needed

 
PPE

Please have CSA approved Yellow Rectangle (Sole puncture & Electrical Shock Resistance rated) footwear. Clothing for some outdoor work (10%).

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

License/Certification: Non GDL Class 5 License (required)
