  • Managing legal workflows, allocating priorities and ensuring timely delivery of guidance.
  • Supporting M&A activity including due diligence, term sheets, and transaction documentation.
  • Overseeing Moodle’s global privacy program, including GDPR compliance, DPIAs and coordination with our external DPO.
  • Managing Moodle’s trademark and copyright portfolio and advising on IP protection and enforcement.
  • Handling legal disputes, including IP infringement issues.
  • Delivering internal legal and compliance training across the business.
  • Streamlining legal processes and operational systems for efficiency and scalability.
  • Partnering closely with global stakeholders, building trust and enabling business outcomes.
  • Managing external legal counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Supporting company secretarial work and contributing to strategic organisational projects.

Requirements

  • Native-level English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Experience working in IT, technology, software or IP-intensive environments.
  • Meaningful experience with trademarks and global IP portfolio management.
  • Strong background negotiating complex commercial agreements and high-value transactions.
  • Experience supporting M&A processes and investor or due diligence activities.
  • Consultative, collaborative and commercially pragmatic approach to legal work.
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships in a global, remote-first organisation.
