  • Shift Pattern: 4-on/2-off or 5-on/3-off
  • Shift timing: From 04:00am to 23:00pm - 8 to 12 hour shifts.

Key Duties:

As a General Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring airline catering and equipment are prepared and dispatched in line with flight schedules. You may be assigned to one of the following departments:

  • Mandatory Key Roles and Responsibilities:
    • Rotate stock is rotated to get maximum shelf life.
    • Record, report food wastage.
    • Record, report breakages i.e. china, glass.
    • Ensure production schedules are met.
  • Dishwash
    • To dispose of all waste in the appropriate equipment provided.
    • Load catering equipment into the machine as per training.
    • Ensure wash machine is running to temperature.
    • After washing check equipment for damage and cleanliness.
  • Production
    • To ensure all airline products are to specification.
    • To ensure and check all products are supplied to relevant departments in an organised manner packed into the appropriate equipment ready for use/dispatching to aircraft.
    • Pack carts/ Production trollies to the required standard and in accordance with passenger volumes.
  • Pick and Pack
    • To check all products prior to packing.
    • Pack carts to the required standard and in accordance with passenger numbers.
    • Carry out final search and screening function.

You’ll also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment and supporting operational needs as required.

  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic criminal record check following interview in line with CAA requirements.
