The DTS team defines and builds the business IT architecture that supports the commercial operation of Waymo's autonomous fleet. The team stands at the intersection of finance, operations and IT; through creative architecture, expertise and attention to detail, it ensures that Waymo has world-class capabilities across all its business processes

In this hybrid role, you will report to a Senior Manager, Supply Chain & GTM Systems

You will:

  • Strategize and define the roadmap for AI-driven solutions across the organization
  • Lead technical discussions to translate business requirements into scalable AI architectures and system designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to integrate AI solutions into existing business workflows and decision-making processes
  • Evaluate and select appropriate AI/ML technologies, platforms and frameworks to meet specific business needs
  • Drive best practices in AI solution development and engineering

You have:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on building and shipping AI/ML products
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex AI solutions that deliver measurable business value
  • Strong proficiency in Python and experience with modern AI/ML frameworks (e.g. LangChain, Vertex AI Agent Builder, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud platforms
  • Experience leading technical strategy and architectural decisions for data-intensive applications
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders

We prefer:

  • Master’s in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field
  • Experience with Generative AI (LLMs) and its application in enterprise business intelligence
  • Background in data engineering or data warehousing principles
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and drive projects from conception to launch in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and dashboarding technologies

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the role location or, if the role can be performed remote, the specific salary range for your preferred location, during the hiring process. 

Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.

$158,000$200,000 USD
