This GaN Product Engineer works on GaN product development and new product introduction (NPI). This Engineer closely interacts with the design team in California and the fabrication facilities oversea. Ensures timely project execution from start to finish, coordinating the movement of multiple engineering lots through wafer fab, assembly, testing and qualification. This Engineer supports the product design team with product characterization and product qualification. Creates test programs and review test data. Coordinate product qualification interfacing with internal and external test service providers. Ensures product compliance with design specifications and qualification standards. Generates qualification reports and product datasheets. This Product Engineer has the opportunity to gain insight into new GaN technologies including monolithic bidirectional switches and make a tangible contribution in product troubleshooting and continuous product improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the movement of multiple engineering lots through the manufacturing line, including wafer fab, assembly, and testing. Ensure timely project execution from start to finish.
  • Create test programs and review test data. Ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Plan and execute product qualification campaigns.
  • Generate technical reports for internal and external communication.
  • Generate product datasheets.
  • Maintain up-to-date GANTT chart with project schedule and negotiate priorities when needed.
  • Track and communicate project status, key results, risks, and problems.
  • Drive root cause investigation for performance or quality issues.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in data manipulation and analysis skill. Familiar with JMP and MS Office.
  • Exceptional time management skill.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable. Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor device manufacturing, testing and qualification is a plus.
  • Familiar with GaN power devices is a plus

The expected annual pay range for this position is $72,500 - $90,000. This position is also eligible for   bonus opportunities and commission pay.  Please note that the final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
