Game UX Researcher

Below you will find some information on the role:

  • Planning and execution of playtest activities across Bloober Team’s portfolio,

  • Identifying stakeholder needs and transforming them into research goals and long-term research roadmaps – both proactively (uncovering needs) and reactively (addressing stakeholder briefs),

  • Recommending most effective approach to stakeholders’ research needs, building on current game UX research standards and harnessing a variety of methods (surveys, interviews, telemetry, game video analysis),

  • Analyzing playtest results and crafting actionable insights supporting product-refining iterations,

  • Effective communication of research findings to a diverse group of stakeholders, both verbal and written,

  • Driving creation of research strategies within the playtest area aligned with business priorities, including tracking market trends within this area,

  • Understanding and feedbacking game builds in order to incorporate them into research activities,

  • Developing close working relationships with stakeholders (Product, Design, Analytics, QA Teams),

  • Driving a culture of 'player-centric' game development, aligned with broader understanding of consumers.

Requirements

Feel free to apply if you have:

  • True passion for video games, knowledge of latest titles and current trends in the industry,

  • At least 2 years of experience in user experience research, ideally in the gamedev space,

  • Fluency in English,

  • Deep understanding of the methodology and specifics of User Experience research, including recent trends and developments in the industry,

  • Skilled in synthesising broad datasets into actionable, user-friendly reports, tailored to stakeholders’ specific profiles,

  • Excellent planning, communication, and interpersonal skills,

  • Detail-oriented and highly efficient,

  • Technological prowess with regard to the gaming space,

  • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders across all levels of an organization,

  • Ability to present to senior stakeholders and facilitate broader design discussions within the team,

  • Thoroughness, reliability, and timeliness in the implementation of tasks.
