We’re hiring a Graphic Designer (Paid Ads Focus) to partner with a fast-growing DTC eCommerce brand operating primarily on Shopify. This role is deeply executional and performance-driven, focused on producing high-volume paid ad creatives — primarily for Meta — with future expansion into other channels.

If you thrive in fast-paced creative environments, love performance marketing, and can deliver clean, conversion-focused creatives at speed, this role is built for you.

Accountability

As a Graphic Designer (Paid Ads Focus), your success will be measured by your ability to consistently produce high-quality, conversion-driven ad creatives at scale. You’ll own the day-to-day creative execution for paid advertising — balancing speed, accuracy, and performance feedback to support growth.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

Paid Ads Creative Production

  • Design and edit static and video ad creatives primarily for Meta (Facebook & Instagram).
  • Produce a high volume of creatives weekly (30–50+), with the ability to scale output as needed.
  • Edit short-form video ads using supplied footage, adding text overlays, captions, and transitions.
  • Adapt and iterate creatives quickly based on testing needs and performance feedback.
  • Apply direct-response best practices over purely aesthetic design decisions.

Creative Workflow & Tooling

  • Design using Canva as the primary design tool.
  • Edit video using CapCut or similar short-form video editing tools.
  • Leverage provided product renders and visual assets efficiently.
  • Maintain organized asset libraries and version control for rapid iteration.

Collaboration & Execution Support

  • Work closely with the founder and internal stakeholders on creative direction and iterations.
  • Maintain consistency across creatives while prioritizing performance outcomes.
  • Prepare creatives for regular upload cycles and testing cadences.

Colleagues

You’ll collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, operating as a key execution partner within the paid growth engine.

At Oceans, you’ll also receive guidance and support from our Operations Manager, who will help you succeed in this role and ensure that you’re continuously growing and developing in your career.

Skills & Qualifications

At Oceans, we believe in T-shaped individuals — those who bring deep expertise in one area, paired with adaptability and curiosity. As a Graphic Designer (Paid Ads Focus), your vertical strength will be high-volume paid ad creative execution, while your horizontal strengths may include video editing, creative iteration, and performance awareness.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: Hands-on experience producing paid ad creatives for performance marketing environments.
  • Design Tools: Strong proficiency in Canva for static creative production.
  • Video Editing: Experience editing short-form video ads using CapCut or equivalent tools.
  • Performance Mindset: Solid understanding of direct-response and conversion-driven creative principles.
  • Execution Speed: Proven ability to deliver high volumes of creatives quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Attention to Detail: Clean execution, accurate layouts, and strong visual consistency.
  • Mindset: Fast, adaptable, receptive to feedback, and comfortable with frequent creative iteration.

Bonus skills:

  • Experience creating creatives for Meta Ads specifically.
  • Exposure to TikTok or YouTube Shorts–style video formats.
  • Experience working with DTC or eCommerce brands.
  • Familiarity with creative testing and iteration cycles.

Diversity of experience is core to Oceans. You are expected to work inclusively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, ensuring that both personal and collective dignity are supported.

During the interview process, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your skills in the following areas:

  • Paid Ads Execution: Examples of static and video creatives produced for performance marketing.
  • Speed & Output: Your ability to deliver high volumes of creatives under tight timelines.
  • Iteration & Feedback: How you respond to performance feedback and adjust creatives quickly.
  • Tool Proficiency: Your comfort using Canva and video editing tools for rapid execution.
