We’re looking for a Website & Brand Designer to partner with one of our clients - a fast-growing consumer subscription / DTC brand focused on building trust, clarity, and emotional connection through thoughtful design and storytelling.

This individual will be responsible for laying the visual foundation of the brand across website, marketing, and product experiences. This role sits at the intersection of brand, product, and marketing and is best suited for a hands-on designer who enjoys both crafting beautiful assets and defining the systems that make great design scalable.

Accountability

As a Website & Brand Designer, your success will be defined by your ability to own and evolve the brand’s visual identity while delivering high-quality, conversion-focused design across all customer-facing touchpoints. You’ll balance creative excellence with execution speed, ensuring the brand shows up consistently, clearly, and credibly as the business scales.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

Website UX/UI & Conversion Design

  • Own UX/UI design for the client’s website, including landing pages, product detail pages, and conversion-focused layouts.
  • Design web experiences optimized for clarity, trust, usability, and performance.
  • Partner with marketing and leadership to prioritize website initiatives and improvements.
  • Iterate on designs based on performance, feedback, and evolving business needs.

Brand System Ownership

  • Establish, document, and evolve the company’s visual brand standards.
  • Ensure consistency across web, paid ads, organic social, email, and packaging.
  • Own and maintain typography, layout, color palettes, and design systems.
  • Act as the steward of visual quality as the brand grows across channels.

Creative Execution Across Channels

  • Design creative assets for paid advertising, organic social, and digital campaigns.
  • Create email graphics and supporting marketing materials.
  • Support product packaging and physical brand assets as needed.
  • Ensure all creative output aligns with brand standards and strategic goals.

Creative Collaboration

  • Translate high-level creative direction into polished, execution-ready designs.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and leadership on priorities, timelines, and trade-offs.
  • Contribute ideas proactively while taking direction and feedback when needed.

Colleagues

Your primary stakeholders will be the stakeholders within the client’s organization, who value clarity, speed, and strong creative judgment. You’ll work closely with decision-makers to define priorities and bring ideas to life across the brand.

At Oceans, you’ll also receive guidance and support from our Operations Manager, who will help you succeed in the role and ensure that you’re continuously growing and developing in your career.

Skills & Qualifications

At Oceans, we believe in T-shaped individuals—those who bring deep expertise in one area, paired with broad curiosity and interests. As a Website & Brand Designer, your vertical strength will be UX/UI and brand design, while your horizontal capabilities should span marketing design, systems thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Design Tools: Strong proficiency in Figma and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • UX/UI Experience: Proven experience designing websites for consumer or subscription-based brands.
  • Conversion Focus: A deep understanding of conversion-driven web and landing page design.
  • Brand Fundamentals: Strong command of typography, hierarchy, layout, and visual systems.
  • Multi-Channel Design: Ability to design across web, social, marketing, and physical assets.
  • Execution Mindset: High attention to detail, reliable delivery, and comfort moving quickly.
  • Ownership: Confidence operating autonomously in an early-stage, high-ownership environment.

Diversity of experience is core to Oceans. You are expected to work inclusively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, ensuring that both personal and collective dignity are supported.

During the interview process, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your skills in the following areas:

  • Website Design: Your approach to UX/UI and conversion-focused web experiences.
  • Brand Systems: How you’ve built, documented, or maintained visual design systems.
  • Creative Execution: Examples of multi-channel creative work and how you ensure consistency.
  • Collaboration: How you work with marketing and leadership to balance creativity and priorities.
  • Ownership: How you manage end-to-end responsibility for design output in lean teams.

Role Specifications

This is a remote role, where you will be expected to work a split shift with some overlap with our client’s time zone. You will, however, be expected to be present for in-person training programs during your first 90 days with us. During the offer process, we’ll share more information about our benefits and compensation philosophy, considering both market trends and individual factors.
