We’re looking for a Senior Media Buyer (Google) to partner with one of our clients, a high-growth DTC brand with a disciplined, performance-driven acquisition engine. This is a hands-on, execution-first role for a senior media buyer who already knows Google Ads inside and out and can manage high-complexity spend with minimal oversight.

This is a long-term, high-impact role for someone trusted to operate critical revenue-driving infrastructure.

Accountability

As a Senior Media Buyer (Google), your success will be defined by your ability to fully own Google Ads execution, make rapid, data-driven decisions, and maintain channel efficiency. You’ll be accountable for day-to-day performance, budget discipline, and tactical optimization, ensuring the channel scales reliably while minimizing wasted spend.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

Google Ads Ownership & Execution

  • Fully own the Google Ads backend across Search (branded & non-branded), Performance Max, Shopping, YouTube and Display.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize campaign architecture and account structures.
  • Launch, test, and iterate on ad creative, search copy, and extensions.
  • Actively manage budgets, pacing, and scaling in a dynamic spend environment.
  • Optimize performance at both product-level and account-level.

Performance Optimization

  • Make daily, tactical optimizations using key metrics such as CPA, ROAS, CPC, CPM and CTR

Impression Share

  • Identify inefficiencies and reduce wasted spend through proactive optimization.
  • Apply bid strategies, exclusions, audience signals, and other controls to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and refine campaigns to consistently meet performance goals.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with creative and growth teams to execute channel priorities.
  • Translate performance insights into actionable updates and recommendations.
  • Operate independently while maintaining clean, clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Support channel initiatives with speed, accuracy, and high ownership.

Colleagues

You’ll work closely with the client’s growth and creative teams, aligning daily execution with overall acquisition priorities and revenue targets.

At Oceans, you’ll also receive guidance and support from our Operations Manager, who will help you succeed in the role and ensure that you’re continuously growing and developing in your career.

Skills & Qualifications

At Oceans, we believe in T-shaped individuals—those who bring deep expertise in one area, paired with broad curiosity and interests. As a Senior Media Buyer (Google), your vertical strength will be Google Ads execution, while your horizontal capabilities should include performance analysis, operational judgment, and cross-team collaboration.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Google Ads Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with Google Ads (non-negotiable).
  • DTC Experience: Proven success scaling DTC consumer brands via Google Ads.
  • Execution Mastery: Strong command of branded and non-branded search, shopping feeds and performance max, bid strategies, pacing, and budget allocation.
  • Analytics: High proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets for performance analysis.
  • Ownership Mindset: Comfort executing quickly, accurately, and independently.
  • Operational Judgment: Ability to make tactical, high-stakes decisions in high-spend environments

Diversity of experience is core to Oceans. You are expected to work inclusively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, ensuring that both personal and collective dignity are supported.

During the interview process, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your skills in the following areas:

  • Google Ads Execution: How you manage Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube, and Display day-to-day.
  • Performance Management: Your approach to budgeting, pacing, and efficiency.
  • Optimization Discipline: Examples of reducing wasted spend and improving CPA/ROAS.
  • Rapid Execution: How you implement changes and optimizations within hours.
  • Channel Ownership: Your experience independently managing a mission-critical revenue channel.
