iCapital is looking to hire a Vice President to join a Hedge and Private Equity Fund Finance team. This role is hands on with operational responsibility for servicing hedge and private equity fund of fund and access fund vehicles (the “funds”) in conjunction with third-party administrators. This position will manage all fund accounting and financial reporting to investors, including subscriptions and redemptions for hedge funds, capital activity in private equity funds, partner capital statements and annual audited financials.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with third party fund administrators on coordination, preparation, review and publication of Fund NAVs, Partner Capital Account Statements, Performance reporting, Capital Calls, Distributions and Hedge Fund Subscription and Redemption processes.
  • Review, edit and sign off on capital calls/distributions, monthly/quarterly NAV packages, accrual/fee calculations
  • Research and resolve fund accounting, financial, and other issues that may arise
  • Liaise with business partners including investor relations and client service groups and provide performance reports and answer questions as they arise
  • Manage cash across portfolios; prepare cash forecasting and budgeting reports
  • The individual will ensure financial reporting and year end queries for feeder funds on the platform are done in a timely, accurate and efficient manner

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of fund accounting with a focus on Alternative investments (Private Equity or Hedge Funds). Experience with a big 4 audit firm, auditing Private Equity and Hedge Fund vehicles is a plus.
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant equivalent certification is a requirement.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and work within tight deadlines
  • Strong team player and detail-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (written and spoken) and organizational skills
  • Experience with Investran is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Confident with strong leadership skills
  • Creative thinker
  • Self-starter, possessing willingness to learn

Required Education:

Bachelor's/University degree preferably in Accounting or equivalent field.
