Role: - Functional Tester
Role Responsibilities:
· 1 – Context, main goals & scope
· The testing activity scope is:
· Test delivery (Functional test, System integration tests, Regression tests)
· UAT tests support process
Mandatory (Testing Skills):
· Minimum 5 years relevant experience in software testing in Wealth Management banking domain, Risk and Compliance and AML.
· Proficient in test life cycle.
· Manual Functional testing with various techniques
· Integration testing with Stubs and Drivers
· System Integration testing
· End to End testing
· Hands-on experience in writing test cases for complex projects, test data preparation and test execution.
· Hands-on experience in writing test cases using technical specification documents.
· Test cases optimization to achieve coverage and quality.
· Proficient in using Quality Center/ HP- ALM.
· Coordination with various teams on testing activities (understanding application/domain/requirements, test cases writing, execution and defects).
Communication skills:
· Good oral & written skills.
· Report promptly (oral and written).
· Reporting to test manager on the test activities progress and data gathering to generate metrics.
· A good team player with problem-solving attitude.
· Analytical and precise: Capacity to challenge the team and convince based on facts.
· Mandatory (Functional Skills):
· Knows the concept of Risk Management, AML, Data Warehousing and Wealth Management (i.e. Financial Banking terms)
· Logical thinker and with good mathematical skills as many tests will be done for data reconciliation and formula / mapping of data with computation verification.
· UI Workflow understanding of GUI Tools and associating them to database. So front-end and back-end tester is required to complete a functional test.
Mandatory (Technical Skills):
· Hands on experience on using PLSQL developer (or equivalent) for ORACLE and TERADATA SQL ASSISTANT for TERADATA in developing SQL scripts to test database.
· Should have strong knowledge of developing scripts using complex joins for more than one table
· Hands on experience in using BUSINESS OBJECTS (BOXI R3) or BOXI R4 versions
· Experience on using Unix and Windows basic commands
· Experience in Actimize, Fircosoft, Norkom or similar Risk and Compliance products
· Nice to have:
· Experience/knowledge of Test Automation, e.g. running automated test scripts using HP-QTP
· Knowledge on ETL workflow.
