Location: North Vancouver, BC - This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office, and is open to hybrid remote work.
Work Arrangement: Flexible, between in-office and home
Pay Range: $44,700 - $55,100/year; pay is dependent on year of study and related experience
Duration: Four (4) months, May – August 2026
Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week, M-F
Your Co-Op Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As a Functional Development – Co-Op Student, you play a key role in building our training programs for Arc’teryx’s non-Retail functions from the ground up, primarily focusing on the design of net new functional academies across Merchandising and Supply Chain. This is a hands-on role within the Global Talent team, giving you direct exposure to how learning strategies are translated into tangible, best in class training solutions that impact teams across Arc’teryx global operations.
In this role you will learn and/or use the following technology: Adobe Suite (InDesign), Articulate (e-learning authoring tool), Monday.com (Project Management tool), Scribe (workflow capture tool), AI tools.

The Functional Development team, part of our Global Talent Management team, is in service of building functional academies for our Merchandising and Supply Chain teams. Functional Development creates best-in-class learning programs, supports implementation training, and delivers training that enables our business to operate effectively and scale for the future.
If you were a Functional Development Co-Op Student now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
Capturing, enriching, and building content that maximizes learning outcomes and meet business objectives for Merchandising and Supply Chain
Designing visually engaging PowerPoint decks, Facilitation Guides, and other learning assets using InDesign
Documenting training process and generating high quality sources of foundational reference content
Leveraging AI tools to streamline training development and data analytics to capture and measure learner metrics and feedback

You will have the opportunity to work directly on creating training materials and programs, gaining valuable hands-on experience in content creation, learning journeys, and curriculum development
You will have access to mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in the field, helping you develop your skills and knowledge in learning design
You will collaborate with members of different teams within the organization, gaining experience in cross-functional teamwork and communication
You will learn about best practices in adult learning theory, training design and implementation, gaining exposure to industry standards and innovative approaches to learning and development
You will receive constructive feedback on your work, allowing you to identify areas for growth and improvement in your skills and abilities
You will be supporting the creation of training programs that unleash the potential of our Merchandising and Supply Chain teams and play a vital role in contributing to Arc’teryx's growth and success
Are you our next Functional Development Co-Op Student?
You are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Education, Interactive Arts & Technology, Communication, Graphic Design, Writing from an accredited university
You are a third (3rd) or fourth (4th) year student
You are highly effective and rigorous in written and verbal communication skills
You have an eye for visual design and are comfortable with using design tools like Adobe InDesign or are a quick study of new software
You are passionate about optimizing processes using AI capabilities and how it can be leveraged to improve efficiency and scalability of training development and data collection
You have a creative solution mindset and have the ability to think innovatively in developing training materials
You have strong organizational skills and enjoy a fast-paced and working on multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities effectively
You enjoy working collaboratively with team members and cross-functional partners to contribute to the development of comprehensive training programs
