Functional Analyst - Talent
This is a vacancy for the 26-27 school year with a target start date of July 1, 2026
Mission:
The HCM Functional Analyst - Talent is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions that align with business processes and objectives as it relates to talent acquisition and development. This role serves as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring that ERP systems are optimized to support operational efficiency and strategic goals.

Location:
This is a full-time position based in Texas, with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.
Travel Expectations: 0-2 times per year
What You’ll Do – Accountabilities
Essential Duties:
· Configure and maintain Workday HCM modules including Recruitment and Talent Optimization.
· Gather and analyze business requirements to design and implement Workday solutions.
· Support system upgrades, feature releases, and ongoing maintenance.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize business processes and improve system usability.
· Provide end-user support, training, and documentation.
· Ensure compliance with HR policies, data privacy, and regulatory standards.
· Participate in system testing, including test case creation and execution.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
· Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement.
· Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
· Assist in Workday security role configuration and reporting setup.

Required Education and Experience:
· Graduate from a recognized four-year college or university preferably with a major in business administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
· 3+ years of experience with HCM configuration and support.
· 3+ years of experience managing recruitment and talent development systems.
· 3+ years of experience utilizing project management frameworks to ensure project and team effectiveness.
· 3+ years of experience in business process design.

Compensation & Benefits:
Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $74,700 and $87,100 commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
