Role Overview
We are looking for a Fullstack Engineering Manager to lead and grow high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced startup environment. This role blends technical leadership, people management, and architectural ownership, while remaining close to delivery and technical decision-making.
You will work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to build scalable, reliable, and production-ready systems.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Delivery Leadership
- Lead the design and evolution of fullstack systems across frontend and backend.
- Drive architectural decisions ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Promote high standards in code quality, testing, security, and observability.
- Participate in technical discussions, reviews, and key design decisions.
People Leadership
- Mentor and support engineers through continuous feedback and coaching.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support career development and technical growth.
Execution & Collaboration
- Partner with Product and Design to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead planning and execution using Agile methodologies.
- Balance speed and quality in a startup context.
Innovation
- Continuously improve engineering practices, tooling, and workflows.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their impact.
Requirements
- Experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead, or Engineering Manager in fullstack environments.
- Strong frontend expertise with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Solid backend experience with Golang and/or Python.
- Experience designing APIs and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures.
- Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Native or fluent English.
- Spanish is a plus.
- Experience working in payments, fintech, e-commerce, or financial platforms is a plus.
