We’re looking for a curious and collaborative Engineer to help shape the next generation of Spotify’s subscriber-facing merchandising experiences.
As Spotify continues to expand its portfolio of offerings, we need to create a framework so that stakeholders can easily merchandize these new products.. You will play a central role in building this, from collaborating with designers on designing seamless frontend flows to ensuring they are scalable, reusable, and ready for rapid future iterations. You’ll dive deep into web technologies, experimentation, product architecture, and cross-functional collaboration as you bring new surfaces to life.
This role sits within our broader Subscriptions organization, where we build user-facing experiences that touch millions of listeners every day. You’ll work closely with product, design, insights, and platform partners to craft elegant, high-performing interfaces and help define the frontend patterns that will power our future product launches. What You'll Do
Develop and improve our user-facing layer and frontend SDKs (React/Typescript).
Be an active part of creating and evolving APIs and services that connect user experiences with internal scalable infrastructure, while applying product requirements.
Drive improvements to system architecture, performance, and developer experience.
Collaborate closely with a versatile group of engineers, product managers, designers and data specialists across multiple teams.
Contribute to technical discussions and help shape platform decisions.
Design, build and maintain scalable backend services (Java/Python).
Who You Are
You are experienced in web methodologies and have a proven understanding of React, and TypeScript
You are passionate about delivering end-to-end experiences
You have an understanding of designing and developing backend applications in Java.
You have a growth mindset, are curious, and are not afraid to be experimental. You share your ideas and continuously improve yourself and the team around you.
Experience with infrastructure-related technologies is a plus.
You care about agile software development and a culture of constant learning and improvement.
You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and can communicate your ideas.
You have experience and passion for mentoring and encouraging collaborative teams.
Where You'll Be
This role is based in New York.
We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
The United States base range for this position is $143,499 - $179,374 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays. These ranges may be modified in the future.
