Full-Time Counsellor (Singapore)

TLDR

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based CBT while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team and managing crisis interventions.

The Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Counsellor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering evidence-based treatments, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and experience in administering psychological assessments as well as strong report writing skills. 

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans using evidence-based interventions, with a primary focus on CBT.
  • Develop specialised clinical care pathways in line with the evidence-base and best practice.
  • Provide individual, couples, group therapy sessions for clients, both in-person and virtually.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing service development and improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement client-centered treatment plans.
  • Work closely with our 24/7 helpline responder team to manage risk, ensure the safety of clients in crisis situations and provide crisis interventions
  • Develop and implement SOPs for risk management and clinical procedures, and train providers on these processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with professional and legal standards.
  • Continuously update professional knowledge and skills through participation in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Ability to commit to clinic operating hours of Monday to Friday 10-9pm and Saturday 10-2pm on a roster basis. There will be 2 evening working days each week (1-9pm) and 2 working Saturdays each month. 

Requirements

  • Relevant Master’s / Doctorate (Clinical or Counselling Psychology / Counselling)
  • Eligible for registration with professional body (e.g. Singapore Register of Psychologists, Singapore Psychological Society, Singapore Association for Counselling or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification clinical experience
  • Experience managing moderate to high complexity cases
  • Demonstrated risk assessment competency (suicide/self-harm/safeguarding)
  • Experience in providing clinical supervision or mentorship

Optional but Preferred:

  • Clear area of specialisation (e.g., trauma/EMDR, couples therapy, neurodiversity, addiction, child & adolescent, personality disorders)
  • Experience working within structured governance frameworks (documentation standards, outcome measures, audits)
  • Experience collaborating with psychiatrists / multidisciplinary teams
  • Comfortable with virtual service delivery
