Full Stack Staff Engineer

Forma.ai is revolutionizing the Sales Performance Management space with our own platform that transforms your sales compensation process from end to end to design, optimize and manage sales incentive programs. The Engineering team is responsible for building a scalable, extensible, and resilient product that realizes that vision.  

What you'll be doing:  

The Full Stack Staff Engineer will play an influential role in product development. Supported by our Product and Design teams, you will construct new products and maintain existing features. We value rapid prototyping and imaginative solution design. You will dive deep to understand our problem space (sales compensation) and use that to inform your decisions around technical requirements and architecture. 

We are building out new product modules at a rapid pace. You will be responsible for solution design, technical architecture, estimation, iterative development, testing, observability, and code review. Rapid peer review and thoughtful automated testing will be big parts of your day to day. Be prepared to continuously grow and improve both personally and professionally in our hypergrowth culture. 

What we're looking for: 

• A history of product ownership skills and customer empathy to make an organization-level impact 
• 10+ years experience handling ambiguity, surfacing trade-offs, and making pragmatic decisions while suggesting and implementing changes to process 
• Strong technical background of modern UI development, preferably with React/Typescript 
• Prior experience designing and building complex backend solutions. We use Python, but the language is less important than the skillset.
• Solid experience building many resilient, extensible, observable solutions in a highly collaborative engineering environment 
• Strong communicator able to represent the team in front of product, operations, and executive stakeholders 
• Ability to demonstrate architectural design excellence  
• Tackle poorly defined problems and provide alignment and technical direction in those problem spaces
