About the Role
We’re looking for a Full Stack Product Engineer to help us design, build, and maintain production-grade features across our Rails backend and modern React/Vite frontend. You’ll work closely with our product, program, and engineering teams in a fully remote environment, taking projects from initial idea to scalable production deployment. This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and is proactive in unblocking themselves and others.
What You’ll Do
- Build, extend, and maintain backend systems in Ruby on Rails, including APIs, background jobs, data models, and integrations.
- Develop high-quality frontend experiences using React, Vite, TypeScript, and modern UI patterns.
- Own features end-to-end: scoping, implementation, testing, documentation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Improve reliability, performance, and maintainability across the stack.
- Collaborate in a fully remote team through clear communication, async updates, and thoughtful technical discussion.
- Contribute to developer experience improvements (CI, testing workflows, tooling) that help the whole team move faster.
-
Spot issues and proactively propose solutions and implement fixes.
Required Qualifications
- Strong professional experience with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL and Redis in production environments.
- Solid experience with modern React, ideally with Vite (or equivalent bundlers/build tools).
- Comfortable and motivated to work across the full stack, from database to UI.
- Ability to deliver production-ready code with a strong sense of ownership.
-
Familiarity with Git workflows, CI/CD, Docker and AWS.
Standout Candidates
- Proactive mindset: Concrete examples of proactively identifying what needs to be done, communicate, and move forward
-
Experience working in remote teams with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with any messaging platform integration (e.g., SMS, WhatsApp Cloud API, etc.)
- Familiarity with observability tools (logs, metrics, tracing) and production monitoring.
- Contributions to open source.
