a) Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to refine user stories and translate them into technical requirements.
b) Work with Quality Assurance (QA) engineers to ensure automated test coverage and proactively fix bugs and defects.
c) Partner with DevOps teams to automate build, deployment, and release processes.
d) Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
e) Partner with Backend Engineers to integrate APIs.

A4. Software Quality & Engineering Practices
a) Implement and enforce Software Engineering best practices, including component reusability, performance optimization, and accessibility.
b) Ensure frontend security best practices, including protection against XSS, CSRF, and other vulnerabilities.
c) Document technical decisions, architectural patterns, and frontend best practices.

Requirements

B1. Education
a) Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

B2. Core Technical Skills
a) Experience with Git and modern branching workflows (GitFlow, trunk-based development).
b) Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
c) Experience with frontend frameworks and libraries such as React.js, Next.js.
d) Strong understanding of state management (Redux, Recoil).
e) Experience with UI component libraries (Tailwind CSS, Material-UI, Chakra UI, Bootstrap).
f) Hands-on experience with frontend build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, esbuild, Parcel).
g) Experience with modern CSS methodologies (BEM, CSS Modules, Styled Components).
h) Experience with frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Playwright, React Testing Library).
i) Experience with performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, code splitting, reducing re-renders).

B3. Geospatial & Visualisation (Highly Relevant)
a) Experience with interactive mapping libraries such as Mapbox GL JS, Leaflet, Deck.gl.
b) Familiarity with geospatial data formats (NetCDF, GeoJSON, TopoJSON, vector tiles, GeoTIFFs).
c) Experience building data visualisation components (charts, legends, heatmaps, overlays, time sliders).

B4. DevOps & Delivery
a) Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) teams with strong collaboration skills.
b) Experience with CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Netlify, Vercel).
c) Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

C. Bonus Experience (Added Advantage)
a) Prior experience working on climate, environmental, scientific, or large-scale public data portals.
