About The Role!
The Inventory Manager is the single point of ownership for inventory accuracy, visibility, and control across the warehouse. This role ensures that physical stock and system stock are always aligned, discrepancies are proactively identified, and inventory is always outbound-ready.
The role acts as the control tower between inbound and outbound operations, preventing losses, delays, and customer escalations.

Job Responsibilities
1. Inventory Ownership & Accuracy
Own overall inventory accuracy across all storage locations
Ensure system inventory matches physical stock at all times
Monitor and control inventory movements (inbound, putaway, picking, returns, adjustments)
Approve and control all inventory adjustments
2. Cycle Counts & Audits
Design and execute cycle count programs (daily / weekly / monthly)
Lead full physical stock counts when required
Investigate discrepancies and perform root cause analysis
Ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained
3. Inventory Control & Loss Prevention
Identify and reduce shrinkage, damages, and write-offs
Enforce access control and inventory handling discipline
Work closely with Security, Quality, and Operations teams
Flag high-risk SKUs and merchants proactively
4. System & Data Management
Ensure accurate SKU setup, bin locations, and barcode usage
Maintain strong discipline in WMS transactions
Own inventory dashboards and reporting
Support WMS enhancements and integrations
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Inbound Manager on receiving accuracy
Align with Outbound Manager to reduce pick-related variances
Support Account Management on inventory-related escalations
Act as the neutral decision-maker between teams
6. Process Improvement & SOP Governance
Define, enforce, and continuously improve inventory SOPs
Close operational gaps between inbound, storage, and outbound
Train teams on inventory handling best practices
Support compliance and audit readiness
7. Team Leadership & Development
Lead and develop Inventory Supervisors and Coordinators
Set clear KPIs and accountability frameworks
Build a culture of accuracy and ownership
Ensure coverage and continuity across shifts

Job Qualifications
5–8 years experience in inventory control or warehouse operations
Proven experience managing inventory in high-SKU environments
Strong knowledge of WMS and inventory best practices
Excellent analytical and root cause analysis skills
Strong leadership and cross-functional communication abilities
Experience in fulfillment or e-commerce operations is a strong plus
