About The Role!
The Inbound Operations Manager is responsible for all inbound warehouse activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient receiving, verification, putaway, and inventory availability. This role owns inbound planning, space utilization, inventory accuracy at entry point, and readiness for outbound operations.
The role is critical in preventing downstream errors by ensuring stock is received, stored, and systemized correctly from day one.

Job Responsibilities
1. Inbound Operations Ownership
Own the full inbound flow: truck arrival → receiving → counting → system entry → putaway
Ensure inbound SLAs are met for merchants and internal operations
Manage dock scheduling and inbound capacity planning
Ensure inventory is available for outbound within defined timelines
2. Team Leadership & Structure
Lead and manage Inbound Supervisors
Ensure supervisors effectively manage Senior Coordinators and inbound staff
Plan manpower, shifts, and coverage based on inbound volumes
Build a disciplined, process-driven inbound team
3. Inventory Accuracy & Control
Ensure accurate counting, SKU verification, and condition checks
Own inventory accuracy at inbound stage
Minimize discrepancies, shortages, and system mismatches
Lead root cause analysis for inventory variances
4. Putaway & Space Optimization
Ensure correct binning, labeling, and location assignment
Optimize warehouse space utilization and storage logic
Enforce FIFO / FEFO where applicable
Coordinate with Inventory & Planning teams on layout changes
5. SOP Compliance & Process Improvement
Enforce inbound SOPs consistently across all shifts
Identify bottlenecks in receiving and putaway processes
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce handling time
Support WMS enhancements and system integrations
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate closely with Outbound Operations to ensure stock readiness
Align with Merchants / Account Management on inbound schedules and issues
Work with Quality, SOP, and Compliance teams on audits
Escalate risks related to capacity, delays, or stock integrity
7. Reporting & Performance Tracking
Deliver daily and weekly inbound performance reports
Track inbound KPIs, trends, and exceptions
Use data to forecast manpower and space requirements
Maintain strong system discipline in WMS

Job Qualifications
5–8 years experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or supply chain operations
Strong experience managing inbound, receiving, and putaway operations
Proven leadership experience managing supervisors and floor teams
Strong understanding of inventory control and WMS systems
Excellent problem-solving and execution skills
Experience in e-commerce or fulfillment environments is a strong plus
