Fulfillment Clerk - Lead - Day Shift

TLDR

Oversee daily activities in the fulfillment operation while managing a hand labor team to ensure efficiency and accuracy in production.

Under general direction, the Fulfillment Clerk Lead will oversee the daily activities of a Hand Labor team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.   Assists supervisor, trains junior staff, plans/organizes tasks, and independently leads projects.  The schedule for this position is Day Shift, 7AM-3:30PM, Mon-Fri.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:  

  •  Must follow established procedures for completing daily tasks, and seek guidance from supervisor when confronted with unfamiliar situations.
  • Read and understand job order directions
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels for kitting
  • Oversee personnel during kitting process and provide on-the-job training to new employees
  • Maintain material supply adhering to just-in-time manufacturing principles
  • Manage incoming orders by due date
  • Package finished product for shipping
  • Schedule and coordinate shipments daily
  • Stage finished product for loading
  • Complete daily logs
  • Operate simple machines, including but not limited to air pouch machines, shrink wrappers, and banding machines
  • Assist in basic handwork as needed, separating cards, folding signs, etc.
  • Perform QC of kits to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • May be required to work overtime or on another shift as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Compliance with applicable Company policies concerning maintaining a drug free workplace is required.
  • Compliance with all Company policies is required including all safety policies and procedures.

Education and or Experience:  

 Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Must have at least 1-2 years’ experience in a lead role, ideally in a fulfillment or production environment. 

 Physical Demands:  

  • Stands up to 2/3 of the shift daily.
  • Uses hands and fingers to handle, and feel over 2/3 of the shift daily.
  • Reaches with hands and arms 1/3 to 2/3 of the shift daily.
  • Lifts between 25 and 50 pounds 1/3 of the shift daily.
  • Requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
  • Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).
