About the Role

• We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Frontend Lead (Angular) to join one of our leading banking clients in Egypt. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading large or multiple frontend teams, driving technical excellence, and contributing to the architectural vision of large-scale, enterprise-grade web applications.
• This is a hybrid, full-time position, offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within a highly collaborative and innovative environment.
• The client’s long-term plan includes transitioning this role into a staff position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a large frontend engineering team (15+ members) or multiple squads.
• Provide technical leadership in architecture, system design, and best practices for scalable frontend applications.
• Drive adoption of modern Angular (v17+) frameworks, TypeScript, RxJS, and design system principles.
• Partner closely with backend, design, and product teams to define and deliver robust and high-quality software solutions.
• Review, refactor, and optimize existing codebases for performance, maintainability, and security.
• Establish and enforce code standards, architectural guidelines, and design patterns.
• Conduct technical interviews, code reviews, and mentorship for team members to ensure technical growth and hiring excellence.
• Act as a key decision-maker in frontend technical architecture and framework selection.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and senior management to align frontend strategy with business goals.

Requirements

• Excellent management and leadership skills — proven experience leading a large team (15+ developers) or multiple development teams.
• Strong technical expertise in frontend architecture and system design using Angular.
• Deep knowledge of Angular 17+ (or recent versions) and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in RxJS, state management, and modular architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Design Patterns and Design Systems.
• Previous experience conducting technical interviews, mentoring engineers, and building high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with backend and product teams.
• Experience in the banking or financial domain is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred).
