About the position

We are looking for an experienced Front End Developer to join our team. You will develop intuitive products and internal tools based on user, product and business requirements, in collaboration with your Team Leader, Back End Software team, Architect and Product Department.

Our products are used by shipping company engineers and captains to optimise the technical operations and navigation of their vessels based on our in-house developed AI and optimisation algorithms. You will need to gain a good understanding of the domain and our research output to design improvements that make our backend infrastructure scalable and cover our customers’ needs.

What you will do:

• Apply your expertise to ensure that the user interface and user experience of our applications are intuitive, visually appealing, and highly functional

• Integrate frontend solutions with our backend and in-house AI and optimization algorithms for vessel technical operations and navigation.

• Optimise frontend performance and collaborate with backend teams, architects, and build tools.

Requirements

• BSc/MSc university degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other related fields.   

• Experience using React.js 

• Knowledge and understanding of Javascript (ES6 or higher). 

• 3+ years of working experience as Web Developer. 

• Experience in Redux (React Redux, Redux toolkit).

• Experience in HTML5 and CSS3. 

• Familiarity with CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS. 

• Good understanding of CSS flex-box.

• Experience with Bootstrap version 4 or higher.

• Experience with backend technologies such as Java and/or Python will be highly appreciated. 

• Experience using version control software such as Git. 

• Experience with build tools (Webpack or Gulp). 

• Experience with node.js and node package manager (npm).

• Experience with Vue.js, Angular or other frontend frameworks will be considered as a plus.

• Experience working Scrum agile methodologies will be considered an asset.
