About the Role

Monks is looking for a freelance Senior Engagement Marketing Manager for a 3-month contract. This role will manage the end-to-end email programme across key English markets for EMEA Regional English sends, i.e. CEE, MENA, SSA, NE, GB, and Regional as a whole. This role sits at the intersection of content strategy, audience growth, stakeholder management, and operational execution. This role will work closely with local editors from the markets to make sure their content is appropriate. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own the EMEA content engagement strategy aligned to global priorities.
  • Lead email audience growth and manage segmentation/targeting, as well as the A/B testing calendar.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of campaigns from briefing to performance analysis.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the web team and regional teams for any website updates. 
  • Social was part of the role in 2025, but has been deprioritised due to the Monks newsroom approach for EMEA Ads.
