Freelance German copywriter for movies & TV shows (15h/week)

Contribute to JustWatch's mission of 100 million monthly visits by creating compelling German copy for movies and TV shows while working in a collaborative, creative environment.

JustWatch (www.justwatch.com) – the world’s leading movie and TV show streaming guide – is looking for a passionate freelance German copywriter who can contribute to our mission of 100 million monthly visits. We are looking for somebody with curiosity, drive and passion with an ability to continually develop their skills. Our team shares a goal-driven mentality, applying common sense and pragmatism to everything we do. We also have a working environment where your creativity is encouraged. Your role:

  • Creating original copy in German for fields such as movie/TV synopsis and descriptions of content providers (streaming services).

  • Translating and transcreating copy related to JustWatch’s data campaigns and global outreach

  • Creating and editing existing copy according to our SEO analysis

  • Researching and staying on top of upcoming movie & TV show releases

  • Working closely with an international copywriting team

    • For this particular role we are looking for:

  • A native German speaker with excellent written and verbal skills

  • Previous copywriting & editorial experience (ideally focused on SEO)

  • Considerable knowledge and passion for movies and TV shows

  • You are intrinsically motivated and ambitious (having your own personal projects such as an entertainment-related blog is a plus point)

  • You have an excellent eye for detail for everything from proofreading to recognizing reliable sources online

  • Excellent communication skills, punctuality and the ability to efficiently work remotely

  • Previous work related to the entertainment industry (especially streaming-related) is another major plus point
