SumUp is expanding in Switzerland with a fully referral-based field model. As a Freelance Field Sales Team Lead, you will introduce and showcase SumUp products to Swiss small businesses and refer interested merchants to our TeleSales team, who will manage all pricing discussions, negotiations, and contract signings.

This role is freelance, non-exclusive, and focused solely on marketing and referring — not selling.

💼 What You’ll Do

  • Present and promote SumUp’s payment solutions to local merchants
  • Generate high-quality referrals and schedule demos with our TeleSales team
  • Build the market: Recruit, onboard & coach independent referral agents
  • Train agents to market & advertise SumUp (no contract signing, no pricing, no hardware sales)
  • Drive results: Motivate agents, track referrals & ensure quality lead flow
  • Audit & support agents to ensure compliance with Swiss requirements
  • Act as the local link between the Swiss field and our London TeleSales team

✨ What You Bring

  • Proven experience leading or coaching field sales teams or independent agents
  • Strong understanding of SME environments
  • Entrepreneurial mindset + ability to operate autonomously
  • Fluency in German and/or French + English
  • Bonus: Background in payments, fintech, SaaS, telecom, or merchant acquisition
