Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Fraud Team Leader to head our fraud operations within a dynamic, fast-paced online gaming environment. The ideal candidate must have extensive hands-on experience in online casino and sports betting  not just from an operational perspective, but as an active player who truly understands the player mindset, game mechanics, and betting behaviour.

This role requires a sharp eye for identifying suspicious activity, deep knowledge of fraud patterns, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of fraud analysts. You’ll take ownership of complex investigations, build and improve fraud prevention processes, and collaborate with internal teams (CS, VIP, Payments, RG, Compliance) to protect both our players and our business. Your insight and leadership will play a key role in ensuring a secure and trusted gaming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of fraud analysts to ensure high performance and accuracy

  • Monitor real-time fraud alerts, suspicious activity, and transactional red flags

  • Own and lead all major fraud investigations, including chargebacks, multi-accounting, bonus abuse, and identity fraud. Proactively detect patterns, build automated alerts, design escalation flows, and implement clear procedures ensuring fast, accurate action and full fraud lifecycle control.

  • Set and track KPIs: detection accuracy, response times, false positive rates

  • Collaborate with AML, RG, Payments, and CF to resolve cross-functional cases

  • Ensure full compliance with licensing, GDPR, and internal risk policies

  • Maintain and optimise fraud rules, filters, and tools in coordination with Tech/Risk

  • Generate regular reports and insights for management on fraud trends and case outcomes

  • Support ongoing audits and regulatory requests as needed

  • Take ownership of new fraud prevention initiatives and process improvements

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in fraud prevention within the online gaming / iGaming industry

  • Previous leadership or team coordination experience

  • In-depth understanding of bonus abuse, chargeback flows, account manipulation, and AML triggers

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset

  • Experience working with Zendesk, Jira, or fraud/risk platforms

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Ability to make quick, confident decisions under pressure

  • Flexibility to work across shifts or weekends as needed

  • Experience in regulated markets (MGA, Anjouan, etc.)

  • Familiarity with crypto transactions and emerging fraud tactics

  • Understanding of RG (Responsible Gaming) and AML frameworks
