FP&A Manager

The Role

The FP&A Manager will be an integral member of the FP&A team at Felix, participating in and delivering on a range of initiatives. The primary responsibility is to be the finance business partner for our operations teams that include pharmacy operations, clinical operations and customer experience. This role will also assist in other FP&A activities. The FP&A Manager will report to the CFO and work closely with the finance and accounting team. The role requires someone with a grounding in finance, the willingness to work hard and get their hands dirty and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Business Partnering: Develop an in-depth understanding of Pharmacy, Clinical, and Customer Experience (CX) operations to drive unit-level margins and efficiencies.

  • Metrics & Reporting: Track and report key operational metrics across Felix, ensuring data integrity for all business units.

  • Capacity Modelling: Design and maintain labour models to scale our Pharmacy, Clinical and Customer Experience (CX) teams.

  • Fulfillment & Logistics: Model and report on fulfillment costs to optimize the "cost-to-serve".

  • Inventory Management: Review and report on inventory trends to optimize supply chain, working capital and cash flow.

  • Planning & Forecasting: Own the Annual Budget and Quarterly Forecast for all operations teams.

  • Strategic Business Casing: Build financial models and ROI analysis for new initiatives.

  • Value Creation: Unearth "value opportunities" and partner with cross-functional teams to implement projects.

FP&A & Strategic Support Activities:

  • Financial Reporting: Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and variance analysis.

  • Board Relations: Assist in the preparation of reporting packages and strategic analysis for Board Meetings.

  • Systems & Processes: Improve finance systems and infrastructure to drive departmental efficiencies as the team scales.

  • Ad-hoc Support: Execute other FP&A and finance activities as required to support the finance function and broader leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance supporting Operations.

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced financial modelling and analysis skills.

  • Operational Fluency: Experience in business partnering with operations teams or a background in B2C, pharmacy, or logistics is a significant asset.

  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, specifically the ability to translate complex data for non-finance stakeholders.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related field is an asset.

  • High-Growth Agility: Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.

  • Travel: Ability to travel within Canada as required to support our pharmacy locations.

Location: Toronto, Remote (Canada). We have an office in Toronto, but are currently working remotely and open to candidates from anywhere in Canada.
