Our Graduate Programme runs for a period of 12 months giving successful graduates the opportunity to become a full time Xapien once the programme has concluded. This role would therefore be a 12 month contract.

Position overview

We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented FP&A Graduate to join our growing Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis, directly contributing to our strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic foundation in a relevant field, a keen interest in data and the crypto space, and a proactive attitude towards learning and development in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and budgets, learning the underlying processes.
• Assist in the analysis of financial data to identify initial trends and provide supporting insights for business decisions, under guidance.
• Help prepare and distribute regular financial reports, including variance analysis and performance summaries.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial models and forecasting tools, learning best practices.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations for senior management and stakeholders, gaining exposure to executive communication.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required, developing your analytical skills.
• Support the preparation of business cases for new initiatives and investments, learning the financial evaluation process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, focusing on accuracy and understanding data sources.
• Learn to monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to identifying areas for improvement.
• Assist with aspects of the month-end and year-end closing processes, gaining insight into accounting cycles.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A processes and procedures by identifying areas for learning and suggesting improvements.

• Familiarity with basic financial reporting and accounting concepts gained through academic studies.
• Genuine interest in fintech and the crypto space, with a desire to learn about the financial services industry.
• Familiarity with data software (e.g., Looker, PowerBI) gained through academic projects is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or other database querying languages learned through coursework is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to learn to present findings clearly.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: No prior professional experience required; relevant internships or academic projects are a plus.
