FP&A Data Analyst

Cyberjaya , Malaysia

TLDR

Shape how financial data flows across a global SaaS business by designing automated workflows and building scalable systems.

(Transformational FP&A Systems & Automation Role — WoodWing)

Join WoodWing and own the financial data infrastructure that powers a global SaaS business. In this hands‑on, transformational role, you will design automated workflows, build scalable data models, and develop interactive dashboards that help leadership make faster, smarter decisions. You’ll collaborate with teams across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, shaping how financial information flows across the organization.

Based in Malaysia and managed remotely from Amsterdam, this role requires someone who is proactive, highly autonomous, technically strong, and passionate about building scalable financial data infrastructure - not just reports. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Accounting, IT, and cross‑functional business teams to modernize our financial analytics ecosystem and potentially support the rollout and future maintenance of WoodWing’s next‑generation planning solution.

What You’ll Do

Systems Ownership & Transformation

  • Act as the systems champion for FP&A across NetSuite, Power BI, and future planning tools.

  • Support the potential rollout, configuration, and long‑term maintenance of WoodWing’s next planning solution (e.g., Acterys, Datarails, Vena, or similar).

  • Build and maintain clear data connections from systems such as NetSuite, HubSpot, and Zendesk into reporting and planning environments.

  • Ensure alignment between NetSuite actuals, forecast data, and Power BI dashboards.

Automations, Integrations & Data Pipelines

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate FP&A processes, freeing teams to focus on analysis and strategy.

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated ETL/ELT pipelines for forecasts, month‑end reporting, KPIs, and operational dashboards.

  • Monitor and optimize refresh cycles to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

Data Modelling & Metrics

  • Design scalable data models and pipelines that convert raw ERP/operational data into governed finance layers.

  • Standardize dimensions, hierarchies, and business drivers to support planning, scenario analysis, and monthly reviews.

  • Maintain metric definitions and lineage for clarity and auditability.

Governance, Quality & Reliability

  • Own data integrity across interconnected systems - ensuring numbers reconcile, refresh, and remain trustworthy.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipelines, dashboards, and integrations.

  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, system controls, and access management standards.

Business Partnering & Process Support

  • Partner with Sales, Accounting, IT, and global FP&A teams to resolve data inconsistencies and enhance reporting workflows.

  • Translate complex technical data into actionable insights for non‑technical stakeholders.

  • Drive data‑informed decisions by owning the integrity and reliability of financial information across systems.

Requirements

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in FP&A, Data Analytics, BI Engineering, or Financial Systems roles.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query).

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.

  • Experience working with ERP financial data (NetSuite strongly preferred).

  • English fluency (written and spoken) required for effective communication across global teams.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills - able to translate technical data for non‑technical audiences.

  • Excellent analytical problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Comfortable operating with high autonomy in a remote‑management setup (manager based in Amsterdam).

  • Passion for building reliable, automated systems that enable smarter decisions.

Nice to Have

  • Modern Planning Tools (Acterys, Vena, Datarails, etc.).

  • SaaS operational metrics (ARR/MRR), revenue modeling

  • API integrations, workflow automation, SQL or Python

  • Experience with AI for FP&A workflows (variance explanations, anomaly detection, scenario analysis).

Why This Role is Exciting

  • Transformational impact: Shape how financial data flows across a global SaaS business.

  • Technical challenge: Build automated, scalable systems that make a real difference.

  • International exposure: Work remotely with teams across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
