This FP&A Analyst will partner closely with the R&D and Engineering organization to ensure strong financial discipline, visibility, and decision support across product development. Key Responsibilities

  • Own financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis for R&D and Engineering spend
  • Build and maintain headcount, OpEx, and CapEx models across engineering teams and programs
  • Partner with engineering leaders to connect product roadmaps with financial implications
  • Support investment trade-off analysis (e.g., hiring plans, tooling, infrastructure, program timing)
  • Prepare monthly reporting and insights for R&D leadership and finance
  • Assist with scenario planning related to development timelines, resource allocation, and cost structure

  • Engineering leadership has clear visibility into spend, forecasts, and trade-offs
  • Financial plans and engineering roadmaps remain well aligned
  • R&D investments are supported by thoughtful, data-driven analysis

Requirements

  • 2–5+ years of FP&A, finance, or related experience
  • Experience partnering with technical, R&D, or engineering teams strongly preferred
  • Strong Excel financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
  • Clear communicator who can translate financial concepts for non-finance partners
