Currently, the HRL Foundry Services team is seeking an engineer who will help further our mission to leverage HRL’s microfabrication expertise to strategically benefit and bring value to our customers.  This position plays a critical role in developing and scaling the foundry business and improving its execution.

Essential Duties:
Support customer engagement on general foundry customer inquiries as well as government and commercial customers for the GaN foundry and Multi-Project Wafer (MPW) business
Help drive efforts to screen new foundry services projects and to secure customer agreements, navigating through both external requirements and internal administrative processes
Execute on foundry services projects serving as program manager, technical consultant, and/or customer liaison, working closely with internal cross-functional teams on development tasks
Coordinate BEOL semiconductor fabrication activities, in support of meeting customer deliverables
Help formulate and carry out Foundry Services marketing strategies, customer outreach, and/or business development

Required Skills:   
7+ years of experience with hands-on semiconductor wafer process modules or integration, 5+ years with Master’s degree; RF GaN technology experience is a plus
Prior foundry customer engineering experience preferred
Experience with development projects or program management preferred
Experience working with diverse cross-functional teams and people
Experience with new product introduction, device prototyping, low-volume production, and yield improvement  
Knowledge of semiconductor process technology and device microfabrication principles
Basic knowledge of unit processes, including thin film deposition, epi growth, lithography, dry and wet etch processes, plating, CMP, and other BEOL processes
Knowledge of semiconductor CAD layout
Detail oriented, hands-on problem solver, with strong work ethic
Strong technical writing, presentation, and communication skills for internal and external customer engagement

Required Education:
Desired  Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related field of study
Formal program management training, with PMI certification, would be a plus

Special Requirements:
U.S. person status is required.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $132,765 - $165,983 + bonus + benefits.

Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
