Compensation: $130K – $170K base salary + 0.5% – 1.5% equity.

Automating the Future of Human Connection We are building the first AI-powered platform designed to handle the complex logistics of corporate event planning—from intimate executive retreats to global conferences. Our software automates everything from venue sourcing to vendor negotiations, helping teams at companies like Google and Amazon gather in real life. We are on a mission to make it easier for teams to create meaningful moments together, and we need a founding engineer to lead the charge on our core AI systems.

The Role As a Founding AI Engineer, you will build and scale the systems that power our automated event planning workflow. This isn’t about simple wrappers; you will be developing autonomous agents that handle emails, phone calls, web scraping, and deep research. You will sit at the center of our product, turning complex, manual workflows into seamless, AI-driven experiences.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop Autonomous Agents: Build and scale AI agents for automated communication (email/voice), web scraping, and deep research.
• Optimize Performance: Drive accuracy and reduce hallucinations in our LLM-powered features.
• Architect AI Workflows: Design and implement scalable AI architectures using modern LLM frameworks and tools from the ground up.
• Data-Driven Validation: Use real customer data to identify new automation opportunities and validate the efficacy of your AI solutions.
• Build Evaluation Systems: Create robust frameworks to measure, observe, and improve AI performance over time.
• Collaborate & Ship: Partner with product and operations teams to understand bottlenecks and ship AI features that solve real-world pain points.

Requirements

• Production-Proven: You have a track record of building and deploying AI/LLM systems in a production environment.
• Technical Expert: Proficient in Python and modern frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• LLM Specialist: You have a deep understanding of prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and techniques to ensure high accuracy.
• Agent-Focused: You have experience with AI agents, tool calling, and building autonomous systems.
• Full-Stack Competency: You are comfortable working across the stack and can ship features end-to-end.
• Iterative Builder: You love moving fast, experimenting with new techniques, and iterating based on real-world results.

Bonus Points:

• Experience building AI web agents or browser automation systems.
• Experience with AI product development in a "zero-to-one" startup environment.
• Familiarity with AI observability and evaluation tools.
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or published research.
