Job description:
We are looking for a an experienced Foreclosure Specialist based in the Irvine, California area, with a minimum of 5 years of experience handling foreclosures in both judicial and non-judicial states.
Responsibilities will be focused on maintaining a large portfolio of real estate loans while building a rapport with counterparties, servicers and borrowers. The Servicing Specialist will work to ensure high portfolio performance and mitigate risk. This role will be responsible for accomplishing tasks efficiently and in a timely manner, while proactively adding value to the Easy Street Capital debt platform.
Responsibilities:
Perform outreach on non-performing loans related to early payment default, delinquent interest, foreclosures, and bankruptcy matters
Monitor slow draws, obtain current inspections, and assist borrowers with developing proactive resolution plans
Handle daily servicing requests, including servicing inquiries, loan maturities, loss mitigation efforts, and payoff approvals
Track all foreclosure and bankruptcy matters from referral through resolution, ensuring timelines, milestones, and compliance requirements are met
Serve as the primary point of responsibility for foreclosure actions, including coordinating foreclosure referrals, monitoring legal proceedings, managing foreclosure bids, and overseeing properties scheduled for sale
Provide weekly status updates to management on foreclosure and bankruptcy activity, including risks, timelines, and recommended actions
Foster and maintain strong relationships with servicers, attorneys, and other counterparties to drive timely and beneficial outcomes
Review qualifying conditions and process loan extensions as needed to prevent loans from entering default status
Participate in monthly portfolio review calls with investors, offering informed commentary, risk assessments, and proposed solutions
Identify trends and patterns in market conditions based on portfolio performance and data analysis
Assist with managing a portfolio of defaulted active-balance loans, including initiating and monitoring foreclosure activity from referral through sale
Collaborate with management and team members to continuously improve departmental processes, controls, and productivity
Assist with Excel-based reporting, tracking tools, and data analysis for internal management and investor reporting
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of foreclosure experience in judicial and non-judicial jurisdictions
Ability and willingness to be cross-trained as a Performing Representative, handling daily outbound borrower calls
Strong understanding of foreclosure timelines, processes, and compliance
Bankruptcy (BK) knowledge (preferred but not required)
Excellent communication, organizational, and follow-up skills
Strong Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word experience
