Graphic Designer

Vida Shoes International is seeking a passionate, creative and thoughtful Graphic Designer within our Kids’ Marketing team to help strengthen the digital presence of our brands – specifically for striderite.com. As a mid-level designer, you will work alongside a cross-disciplined marketing team with expertise ranging from creative, digital, strategy, and execution for the following brands: Stride Rite, Saucony Kids, Merrell Kids, Kurt Geiger, Carter’s, OshKosh B’gosh, and BCBG GIRLS. This role supports marketing with everything from design concept to implementation for specific brands and works very closely with the e-commerce team to bring a collaborative vision to life in the marketplace. This is a role is based at the Vida Shoes headquarters in New York, NY, with the expectation to be in-office Mondays-Thursdays.

Core responsibilities will include producing digital assets to support our e-commerce business and social media platforms. Projects may involve creating mock-ups for presentations, designing paid media ads, pulling swipes for inspiration and competitive research, and assets for tradeshows or retailer account meetings.

Compensation: $45-60k

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Design seasonal campaign content to promote our brands’ key product launches online.
  • Strong conceptual thinking, as the Graphic Designer is expected to not just execute briefs well, but also generate ideas and be forward thinking for each brand.
  • Concept, create and deliver ads, digital banners, website graphics, infographics, etc.
  • Time manage all design projects including scheduling reviews to ensure important deadlines are met.

 

Candidate Must Have:

  • Ability to translate business objectives into visual assets.
  • Excellent communication skills for both project management as well as presentation capabilities. 
  • Flexibility and comfort in multitasking. The role is fast-paced and a keen eye for detail must remain during tight deadlines. Being savvy and resourceful is key.
  • Desire to add value to the team, division, and company in all areas; within and outside of day-to-day responsibilities. Willing to put “all hands on deck“ to collectively get the job done.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in graphic or brand design
  • Fluent in writing and speaking English
  • Strong portfolio that showcases strong digital skillset
  • ADA compliance knowledge is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments

 

Skills:

  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
  • Motion graphics are a huge plus.
  • Animation skills are a huge plus.
  • Photography styling skills are a plus.
