Footwear & Accessories Product Development Intern

Huckberry is seeking a motivated individual to join our Footwear and Accessories Product Development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for footwear and accessories design, coupled with an understanding of the product development process.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and is eager to dive deeper into the technical and creative sides of product development in the footwear and accessories industry. This individual will bring a positive attitude, a go-getter mentality, and a strong willingness to assist with various tasks while supporting the team in bringing innovative products to life.

Responsibilities

• Available 2-3 days/week (16-24 hours) in-person/onsite in Austin, TX (Tuesday-Thursday ideal, but flexible for the right candidate)
• Assist with fit testing and note-taking during fittings
• Create shipping labels and help with shipping samples to various locations
• Facilitate sample handoffs between cross-functional teams for photoshoots
• Organize both physical and digital sample libraries
• Perform data entry for material libraries and sample tracking within the PLM system
• Manage filing, organizing, and data entry using tools like Google Docs, Airtable, and Centric
• Support the Technical Design, Product Development, and Production teams with various projects
• Assist with production tasks, including TOP (Top of Production) review

Requirements

• Bonus if you have an understanding of Product Development and Production processes
• Familiarity with footwear and accessory design, construction, and materials is a plus
• Interest in working with a variety of materials such as leather, textiles, and synthetics for footwear and accessories
• Basic understanding of Google Docs, and Gmail (bonus if you're familiar with PLM and Adobe Illustrator)
• Eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities to ensure timely deliveries
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team, both in person and virtually
