Reporting to the Operations Manager for Spain, your role will see you manage both the operational and technical aspects of our SAOT (Semi-Automatic Offside Technology) delivery in Spain. You will be collaborating with both tech and operational management to ensure the successful delivery of football projects in the region. Our SAOT delivery in Spain is an integral part of our business operations, and comes with huge importance to us, our client, and their various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities revolve around the planning, designing, testing, monitoring, and delivery of the technical aspects of SAOT delivery in Spain.
Ensure SAOT is implemented successfully across the league, aligning with best practices.
Proactively identify areas to improve operations and implement them with the team.
Setting operational standards and championing the Hawk-Eye Guarantee.
Prepare, setup and oversee the SAOT technical setup in the Remote Centre.
Manage issues arising from operations and proactively minimise their effect on the client and the team, briefing management where appropriate.
Co-manage the delivery of Remote Support including staff training, match day checklists and processes, escalation management, completion of match reports, and issue reporting. This will take place either directly onsite, at a centralised location (i.e. Spain Remote Centre), or remotely.
Ensure graphical assets are quality checked, and coordinate with graphics teams to implement into our system ahead of live operations.
Contribute to the management of hardware/system design. This will include necessary load testing, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, and procurement as required.
Capture and review problematic data or cases in real-time, ensuring initial reviews are complete before escalation to central tech teams, and collate necessary feedback and resolutions.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Strong analytical and problem solving skills for managing near misses and public issues effectively.
Excellent communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders at any level.
Comfortable with taking ownership of service delivery, projects, and processes.
Ability to adapt to meet the changing direction of a demanding client.
A solid understanding of various software used in Football Technology, including SMART, Windows, Nvidia, Blackmagic, and Netgear.
Experience with graphical/photo editing software.
A keen interest in technology and broadcast industries.
Comfortable challenging current processes or conventions.
Dedication to continually improve, personally develop and learn new professional skills as you go.
Ideally: Knowledge of our EPTS, and SAOT systems.
