Floating Dock Operator – Ras Laffan
Working Hours: 9 hours/day (including 1-hour break), 6 days/weekOT: Applicable after 9 hours of dutyBenefits: Mobilization Ticket & Work Visa provided by the company
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Floating Dock Operator to support safe and efficient docking and undocking of vessels at our Ras Laffan facility. The role requires strong operational awareness, safety focus, and coordination with shipyard teams.
Key Responsibilities
Operate the floating dock as per Dock Master’s instructions.
Review vessel weight, loading, and stability data before docking.
Carry out pre-operation inspections (72 hours before any lifting/lowering activity).
Monitor ballast tanks, maintain safe drafts, and assist in ballasting/deballasting.
Support shipwright, maintenance, and diving teams during operations.
Ensure all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures are strictly followed.
Trade Apprenticeship or Secondary School qualification.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Floating Dock Operator.
Knowledge or training in floating dock operations is an added advantage.
Good communication skills and ability to work safely in a team environment.
