Manage the fleet of hardware and ensure memory developers are equipped with the necessary tools to support their data collection efforts.
At Sunday, we're developing personal robots to reclaim the hours lost to repetitive tasks. We're focused on an ambitious goal to make generalized robots broadly accessible, enabling households to take back quality time.
We have spent the last 18 months building a talented team, securing capital, and validating our technology. We are now seeking passionate individuals to join us in the next phase of our growth. If you are ready to apply your skills to the forefront of robotics innovation, we’d love to hear from you.
What to Expect
We're looking for a Fleet Operations Lead to join our Data Operations team and manage our quickly growing fleet of hardware.
You'll work in coordination with Hardware engineering, Software engineering, Support staff, and most crucially our 500+ workforce of memory developers. Your role is vital to ensuring our memory developers have the hardware they need to supply our models with high quality data. Our team of memory developers is set to double in the next four months, necessitating more robust, scalable deployment processes.
What You’ll Do
Management of hardware fleet
Own deployment of data collection kits (specialized wearable gloves)
Manage day-to-day relationship with fulfillment partner to supply data trainers with equipment
Manage a team of deployment associates
Oversee hardware replacements and returns (return process and management of shipping/receiving personnel), and other related tasks such as providing props to data trainers for their tasks
Streamline existing deployment processes, in coordination with Data Ops team you'll join
Solution Documentation
Collaborate with support team and Hardware engineering to document common hardware troubles and develop solutions where appropriate (e.g. what to do if a camera becomes dislodged)
Provide process support to Hardware engineering to track device breakage and wear and tear
What You’ll Bring
Quick action to provide our data trainers equipment and replacements (measured by down-time during which they cannot record)
Clear communication to guide our data trainers
Your ability to manage unexpected challenges (e.g. large quantity of device breakages)
Your ownership of key stakeholders with data trainers, engineering, and support
Excitement for the growth and development of deployment associates
Nice to Have
Someone adept at prioritization of competing requests, who's able to move both quickly, and in an organized manner
A strong communicator able to collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
A fun, customer-centric individual who's interested in contributing to our community of data collectors and our small but mighty in-person Data Ops team
At Sunday Robotics, we’re building technology shaped by real people — curious, creative, and diverse. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
Even if you don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply. Studies show that women and underrepresented groups often hold back unless they meet 100% of the criteria — we don’t want that to be the reason we miss out on great talent.
Sunday is building personal robots that take care of repetitive tasks, allowing busy households to reclaim their valuable time. Our focus is on making these smart, generalized robots accessible to everyone, freeing families to spend more time on what truly matters.
