Merchants Fleet is seeking a detail-driven Damage Specialist, Mobility Maintenance to manage the availability and readiness of our offsite fleet pool. This role oversees the full vehicle get-ready process—including preventative maintenance, mechanical repairs, reconditioning, body work authorization, and compliance—to ensure safe, high-quality vehicles are delivered to our clients on time. Collision estimating experience is required.

 

Location: Merchants Fleet Headquarters – Hooksett, NH

 

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain a strong vendor network for maintenance, body work, reconditioning, and transportation services
  • Plan, forecast, and schedule repair work to optimize supply chain performance
  • Track vehicle logistics requests from start to finish, resolving issues and providing regular updates to stakeholders
  • Communicate professionally with internal teams and external clients regarding vehicle delivery and pickup
  • Make timely decisions—sometimes outside standard process—to meet client commitments
  • Balance vehicle quality, safety, and cost management when approving repairs
  • Drive fleet utilization by reducing repair cycle time and monitoring aged inventory to meet KPIs
  • Educate team members on maintenance best practices and help refine internal processes
  • Coordinate vehicle compliance, including registrations and inspections
  • Document and manage vehicle orders and disposal actions using Salesforce CRM and TSD software

 

What We’re Looking For:

Skills & Abilities

  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail with a focus on accuracy

Experience

  • Background managing automotive maintenance and repairs on passenger vehicles and trucks
  • Experience working with dealership service departments and repair facilities
  • Collision estimating experience required
  • Experience with Class 5–8 medium/heavy duty trucks preferred
  • Resourceful mindset with strong intellectual curiosity and desire to learn

Education

  • Degree in Business or equivalent professional experience
