As a salesperson for Voleon Securities, you will be responsible for growing and maintaining Voleon Securities institutional client base. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will work closely with senior management to identify and pursue partnerships with the largest buy-side institutions. This role will enable you to contribute in the early stages of the growth of our business; you will help us better serve our existing clients and connect future clients to our liquidity offerings.
This role is based either in New York City or Berkeley.
Responsibilities
Growing our client pipeline, developing relationships, identifying opportunities and maintaining relationships with buy-side clients
Strategically prospecting for new business, including the use of client relationship management (CRM) systems and data/analytics
Be an expert on the Fixed Income market, anticipate customer needs, and pursue opportunities to increase market share and drive new revenues
Conduct detailed needs assessment for prospective partners focused on their business needs and strategic priorities
Oversee daily and weekly activities, pipelines, forecasts and closed deals to ensure successful sales pipeline management
Work alongside senior management to support the buy-side sales strategy
Provide high-quality client support by responding to phone and email inquiries promptly and professionally
Independently build and strengthen existing Voleon client relationships by providing outstanding partnership and service
Requirements
5-10 years of experience in a sales capacity developing new client relationships with fixed income experience at a liquidity provider or electronic trading venue
Track record of successfully building and growing buy-side client relationships and closing new business
Detailed knowledge of the fixed income markets, preferably Investment Grade, High Yield, Emerging Markets, and fixed income ETFs
Outstanding interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (e.g. negotiation, consultative skills) that will support successfully partnering across functions and line of business
A flexible style suited to building relationships with a range of clients and the tenacity to pursue opportunities and close deals
Passion for electronic trading promoting its continued evolution through Voleon products and services
Enthusiasm to travel as needed
FINRA Series 7, 57 and 63 license required
Bachelors Degree
The base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $225,000 in the location(s) of this posting. Individual salaries are determined through a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Base salary does not include other forms of total compensation such as bonus compensation and other benefits. Our benefits package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, life and AD&D insurance, 20 days of paid time off, 9 sick days, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
